OnTarget Software for target analysis

If you look at my updated black rain seating depth experiment, you will notice that the graphic contains the measured group data.  OnTarget produces a neat software package that analyzes your groups for you from your scanned in target.  You can include lots of information so you can refer to it later if needed.  You can control the amount of information printed on the page.  I am using the MAC version, but they also have a windows version.

It also includes the ability to calculate the center of the group vs the aim point, which is very useful when evaluating high precision rifles for load development.

Freedom Arms Model 2008: 260 Remington

Freedom Arms Model 2008 in 260 Remington

More on this gun after testing with some different bullets and loads.  But for now, it has been absolutely repeatable using both 123 grain Sierra's and 120 grain Berger bullets using 44.3 grains of H4831SC at about 2295 fps.

At 100 yards, the following group has been repeated many times so it is definitely a sub-moa pistol.  The group was fired from the bench using a bipod and rear squeeze bag.  The scope was a 8X Leupold pistol scope using Lovell Scope mount.  The pistol will be used in the 300 yard Varmint League competition MRPC.
